We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI), production optimisation, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing environment. The role focuses on developing and maintaining production processes, documentation, and systems to ensure efficient, high-quality, and compliant manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, production, and project teams throughout the full product lifecycle, from design and industrialisation through to ongoing production support.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
New Product Introduction / Development
Develop, maintain, and control production data packs and assembly documentation
Support the introduction of new products into production, including the design and implementation of manufacturing processes aligned with industrial, project, and client requirements
Assist with the development and implementation of the Industrial Management Plan (IMP), with a focus on design and engineering processes
Support all phases of product evolution and customisation, including design, qualification, industrialisation, and production support
Create, maintain, and update test procedures and results documentation
Participate in PFMEA activities and the development of control plans for new and existing processes and equipment
Maintain and update process-related information on the ERP system
Production Lines and Facilities
Conduct time and motion studies, process capability studies, and production efficiency analyses
Drive the implementation and sustainability of 5S in production areas
Support process and product quality failure investigations and improvement initiatives
Improve material flow and allocation within stores and production
Ensure the timely availability of tools and workstations in compliance with SHEQ requirements
Assist with the design, improvement, commissioning, and optimisation of production lines and cells
Support the development and manufacture of production aids, tools, and jigs
Assist with the introduction and support of manufacturing technologies, equipment, and processes
Optimise productivity (man, machine, and material) through process analysis and improvement projects, including cleanroom environments
Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles to improve processes and production KPIs
Train production staff on new products, assembly fixtures, and equipment
Perform line balancing, task sequencing, and establish standardised operational methods
Advocate for Design for Manufacturing (DFM) during the product R&D phase
Common / Cross-Functional Responsibilities
Maintain configuration control of relevant technical documentation and software
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, policies, and procedures
Identify, manage, and mitigate technical and operational risks
Monitor and report on project deliverables and progress
Drive continuous improvement through standardisation, technology adoption, and best practices
Contribute to industrialisation project deliverables in line with time, cost, and quality targets
Qualifications:
BSc/BEng degree in Industrial Engineering
Required Experience (automotive or automation heavy environments):
2+ years’ experience in electronic design and development.
New product introduction/product development experience – Very important
Experience in electronics hardware manufacturing environment
Good knowledge and experience in technical support in a manufacturing environment
