KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Market Analyst is responsible for establishing, driving and maintaining a structured market intelligence capability within NewSpace Systems. The role will conduct primary and secondary market research to develop a deeper understanding of NSS's customers, target markets, competitors, industry dynamics, and commercial opportunities.

The position will work closely with the CRO, Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and other relevant stakeholders to identify information gaps, conduct research, analyse data, and communicate insights that support strategic and commercial decision-making.

A key objective of the role is to ensure that NSS has a clear and continuously updated understanding of where the market is, who the customers are, what they value, where competitors are positioned, and where NSS has the greatest opportunity to grow.

KEY TASKS

  • Monitor global market, customer, competitor and industry trends across the spacecraft, satellite, NewSpace and space technology sectors.

  • Research and analyse market size, growth, customer segments, market share, competitive positioning and emerging opportunities.

  • Identify changes in customer needs, technology, industry developments and market conditions that may impact NSS.

  • Conduct primary and secondary market research and consolidate information from credible industry and market sources.

  • Provide actionable market and customer insights to support Sales, Marketing, Product and strategic decision-making.

  • Identify potential customers, programmes, missions, constellations, new markets and commercial opportunities relevant to NSS.

  • Develop market intelligence reports, dashboards and presentations, translating complex information into clear recommendations.

  • Maintain up-to-date customer, competitor and market intelligence and ensure information is structured and accessible.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering and other stakeholders to gather and apply market intelligence.

  • Support strategic planning, business development, product positioning and commercial opportunity assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management, Economics, Market Research, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • A postgraduate qualification in Market Research, Business Analytics, Strategy, Economics, or a related discipline would be advantageous.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3–5 years' experience in market research, commercial intelligence, business analysis, strategy, sales intelligence, or a related field.

  • Experience conducting both primary and secondary market research.

  • Experience analysing market trends, customer behaviour, competitors, and commercial opportunities.

  • Experience working with quantitative and qualitative data.

  • Experience developing market assessments, competitor analyses, customer segmentation, or business intelligence reports.

  • Experience working within the aerospace, space, satellite, technology, engineering, or other highly technical industries would be advantageous.

  • Experience working with CRM, market intelligence, business intelligence, or data analytics platforms would be advantageous.
